A Passion for Pets: The Story Behind Cuddle Up Pup
Cuddle Up Pup was founded by Stephanie and Andrew, a couple whose love for animals led them to create a unique pet resort experience. Stephanie grew up in an animal-loving family, surrounded by all kinds of pets, and was introduced to veterinary care at a young age through her mother, a head Veterinary Technician. Over the years, she gained hands-on experience in various roles across the pet care industry, from kennel attendant to groomer, veterinary assistant, and eventually management. Her journey included working at Puppy’s Playpen, where she witnessed the industry's shift toward cage-free boarding and home-like environments for pets.
Stephanie’s deep commitment to animal welfare led her to collaborate with The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) during Hurricane Katrina, where she helped rescue and care for displaced animals. This experience fueled her dedication to pet care, leading her to become certified in Disaster Animal Response training and expand her expertise in animal behavior, medical care, and pet nutrition.
When she met her husband, Andrew, he quickly embraced her passion for pets, and together, they built a life surrounded by dogs. After fostering numerous puppies and kittens, they decided to create a space where dogs could feel truly at home. Their vision for Cuddle Up Pup became a reality after two years of planning, resulting in a resort designed to provide a warm, comfortable, and loving environment for every pup. From cozy suites with real beds and couches to an enriching play and socialization experience, Cuddle Up Pup ensures that pets receive top-tier care while their owners are away.
