Miller Theatres is leading the fight against COVID
The Missouri Chamber has launched a COVID Stops Here campaign calling on employers across the state to talk to employees about the importance of being vaccinated.
Companies and other workplaces that reach a 70% vaccination rate are eligible to receive the COVID Stops Here designation. There are separate designations for companies that reach 80% and then 90% vaccination rates.
We are celebrating employers that are leading the fight against this virus — and encouraging more Blue Springs workplaces to join their ranks, by sharing their stories. If your business has reached 70% or higher vaccination status, let us know and we'll be sure to celebrate you too!
"Here at Miller Theatres it is important to our business that our employees be vaccinated because of the amount of customers that come into our building and we want our staff AND customers to be as protected and safe as possible. We want to do our part to prevent spreading the virus." says Operations Manager Ashlee Barzee.
Miller Theatres in Blue Springs has 20 employees and Barzee says they didn't have to do much to encourage them to get vaccinated. "Wemostly just talked to them about it and informed them of the risks and why it is so important. We did not force our staff and luckily most of them got the vaccine by choice."
